About Candace

Born in a valley and raised in a desert I love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, residing here for over thirty years.  Owning a home since marrying many years ago, has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about home ownership and the importance of the process.  Helping friends over the years was natural.  So, when the time was right and real estate was an option for a professional career, it was easy to jump in with both feet.  Never looking back, it's been a great transition from owning a printing company which taught me the importance of and how to run a business.  And, prior to the printing company, being a critical care nurse and teacher taught me the organizational skills that are necessary in the real estate business.

Another part of the story includes two beautiful daughter's, two wonderful son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren that continue to awe me daily.  They are my WHY!  I love my work and it allows me the option to make wonderful memories with all of them.  I get up daily, write in my gratitude journal the many things I'm so grateful for.  I joke that my work keeps me out of trouble.

As a life long learner, reading is a big part of my days and weeks.  Music feeds my soul on a daily basis either listening, playing the piano or hearing live music in this incredible musical community we live in. Being active has always been a big part of my life and now that I have two new knees I get to be even more.

Giving back to my community and world has always been at the top of my outside activities.  Rotary has been a big part of my life for over 27 years.  Fortunately, going to Chili and working on kids with cleft lip while using my nursing skills was a life changing event.  As parents we all want the same things for our children and grandchildren.  A world where they are safe and can live a happy and healthy life.  Rotary's moto of world peace and understanding has kept me working on their behalf.

My story continues with The Salvation Army which was introduced 4 years ago by family.  My passion for the SAFES (Salvation Army Female Emergency Shelter) is very personal.  Serving the women and helping them transition to a safer life is made possible by the many members of the SAFES staff that are dedicated to their mission.  It's wonderful to be able to support them.

Transitioning from another company to Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices NW was a great career move.  Being with more like minded people and our support of Transitional Youth met my vision.  Part of each check goes to support this amazing organization which was started by our Chairman and Founder, Bert Waugh.  My success has been supported here as well as a member of the Presidents Circle which is the Top 4% of all Berkshire Hathaway agents.
